Biography

About Frantz Merise
I am a professional artist, working from my home studio in Connecticut. I have been painting for many years and have pictures in private collections at home and abroad.  My work consists of paintings of nature and portraiture. I work with a variety of paints, but mainly acrylic and oils.

My Inspiration
Over the years, I have been fortunate to visit many countries and have seen some beautiful sights. I am inspired by nature. I enjoy the view of mountains, lakes, forests and countrysides. When I see a beautiful view, I want to capture it on canvas. It gives me pleasure to share the views and inspiration with others in hopes that they are seeing and feeling what I do.

Can you see the sun peaking through the trees? Can you see the sunset or moonlight reflecting off the mountainside or the water? Can you see the rocks beneath the water? These are examples of the inspiration that moves me to paint nature.
